We are a small amateur theatre company performing in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. We were founded in 1976 (read the newspaper articles announcing our arrival), started playing properly in the Warana Festival in 1977 and are still going strong.

We put on 5 productions a year, varying from the legendary (Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap) to the  terrifying (Woman in Black) to the classics (Blithe Spirit), to name but a few of the many productions we have performed over the years.

We have also been privileged to have been involved with award winning productions at the Brisbane Arts Theatre Drama Festival -

  • In 2003, "Little Brother, Little Sister" directed by Fred Wessely won the Adjudicator's Award, Susan O'Toole - Adjudicator's Award and Second Best Play

  • In 2000 "Pier 12" by Ron Kelly directed by Len Granato and starring Alyssa Tait and Peter Moore. Both Peter and Alyssa were awarded acting honours, while director Len was presented with the George Roberts Memorial Shield for Best play

  • In 1999 "Banana Bender" by Barry Dickens directed by Julie-Claire Hogben, starring Phoebe Todhunter and Antony King, which won a best actress award for Phoebe Todhunter

And we are very grateful for the continued support of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund -

For the grant in 2002 to help improve the lighting system and equipment, in 2003 with their grant towards an upgraded kitchen and a new staircase for ease of access to the stage area and for in 2006 for the grant to install a Breezeair Cooling System in the Hall .
